About
I am an artist photographer from The Netherlands who is interested in creating images that hold a visual power to provoke emotions upon my audience. My work shows a world of mystery and abstraction, which is often a reflection of my inner-world, the shadow, a unconscious part of the personality that doesn’t correspond with the ego ideal. I use a specific kind of music to enter a state of mind which allows me to delve into the creative process and see my surroundings differently. My intuition is my guide through the creative process, and my camera is the portal between the real world and the one I create.
Photography is a way for me to interact with my feelings and imagination, as a way to escape from reality and to build my own. My work aims for a dialogue between the image and the imagination of the viewer, to create an immersive experience which invites my audience to explore their bodies by feeling unusual sensations they usually hide away from. In collaborations I seek to visualize a concept or vision and enlarge it into a new reality and make it a world of its own.
